@CalyxOS Calyx slow on updates...about when possible release,going to be hard to get people moving back,if everything works on the other degoogled os people maybe using now..no security updates made people change to something else past 5 months.

@newfieboy76 We're short staffed at the moment but working to get that going. We're also moving to the entire HSM signing situation which requires/required a lot of research, but it isn't like we could've just done it later (e.g. can't migrate signing keys for AVB), so we wanna do this right.

Besides the CalyxOS team, you'll find OS development teams for /e/OS, postmarketOS, and Sailfish OS. There are also teams that build FOSS app platforms, such as F-Droid and IzzyonDroid, as well OEMs including Fairphone and SHIFTphone.

@newfieboy76 We would love to share one, but we don't want to have to, e.g. potentially delay it and have people prepare for something that we aren't 100% sure of. It's a significant amount of changes happening in AOSP, and we want to get everything right before our release.

@Joebear4946 Sorry for the confusion. We are currently in a pause, and we're not updating the system while we get things ready again. At the moment, you don't have to do anything, in the future however, you will need to reinstall CalyxOS in order to receive updates.

@CalyxOS You keep sending me these critical notices about one last OTA update but the message does not contain a link to that update. Sorry if I'm not tech saavy enough to figure it out but as an older person I sometimes need it to be a lot more obvious.

We're focusing on improving our development infrastructure, including server optimization. We're also closely monitoring the upcoming AOSP QPR1 release and its potential impact on our community while working to bring up Android 16 with all feature updates and security patches.
