The biggest short-term teaching problem is ATTENTION. Students who aren't paying attention can't learn. The biggest long-term problem is MEMORY. You can smash out the best lesson ever, but if you don't have a long term memory strategy you're wasting your breath.

A quiet, structured classroom isn’t a punishment. It’s how learning happens. And it can be a sanctuary for the kids who have nowhere else to escape the noise.

Students learn faster when they see what something is and what it isn’t. One of the most important aspect of curriculum planning + instructional design is effectively using examples and non-examples. 🧵⬇️
