@RazorOil Not disagreeing with you but there's a big difference in landscape between the two, and as much as I hate the red tape I'm quite happy not to live in an absolute monarchy.

Seeing more talk of Alberta’s proposed new West Coast oil pipeline in the news, up to 1 million bbl/d to tidewater for Asian markets, yet it’s realistically years or a decade away from shovels due to endless red tape. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia runs their East-West Pipeline at full 7 million !!!! bbl/d capacity as a strategic backup, quickly repairing it after attacks to keep flows uninterrupted. Why can the Saudis prioritize energy security with massive redundant infrastructure, while Canada struggles to approve even one new line , especially as WCS discounts widen whenever pipelines fill up with minimal geopolitical risk of anybody blowing up Canadian infrastructure… It makes no sense. Time to cut the red tape and build, Canada! 🇨🇦🫡🪒

The main catalyst for me right now is they're financial position and the fact that they should be reaping all the benefits of high oil prices unhedged.

After reviewing Iran's 🇮🇷 10 demands that will be negotiated, here are some thoughts: Nobody knows how this will end ! Nobody. Let me share a quick historical example. The Munich Agreement was signed in September 1938. Germany was allowed to annex Sudetenland...and Hitler promised !!! it would be his last territorial demand in Europe. A very happy Chamberlain (reminds me of Trump here) returned to Britain declaring "PEACE OF OUR TIME" !!!! but, just six months later, in March 1939, Hitler broke his promise and occupied the rest of Czechoslovakia... and we all know what happened next...🫡🪒

@JustinWolfers I can't fault them for failing to envision a man so morally bankrupt as Trump, and worse yet the American people voting for him to be their president, twice.

Starting to think that if the founding fathers were any good at founding fathering, they would have given the power to declare war to Congress rather than one man in the White House.
