I might be missing something here, but this whole "did he, didn't he" debate about how the game ended on Saturday could all be settled very easily.
All the SFA need to do is release the audio which, even in the bedlam going on around it, will capture the referees whistle being blown.
The SPFL say he told them it had ended, so it's very easy to prove that. This tiresome debate is going to go on forever until they do. I'm surprised it's not been released already tbqh.

@SPFLWatch I don’t understand why teams that say they have the ambition to come to the SPFL don’t have these licenses. You know it’s a requirement. How often do we see this. I appreciate it’s maybe expensive but it’s what’s required.

Linlithgow Rose will not contest the Pyramid Playoff after the SPFL Board rejected their application for a grace period to fulfil Bronze Licence criteria.
A source told us last night that their Audited Accounts were not submitted by the deadline.
It means that Brora Rangers will face Edinburgh City in the League Two Playoff Final in two weeks’ time.

SPFL Pyramid Play-Off Competition Unfortunately, our application for a period of grace to fulfil the required criteria for our SFA Bronze Licence was declined by the SPFL Board. On this basis we are not eligible to participate in the Pyramid Play-Off Competition. We are taking the necessary steps to enable the Club to be considered for an SFA Bronze Licence at its next annual assessment.

@dougie_stuart @bets_single I agree, they should have to improve the standard of the SPFL. When you look at Edinburgh city this year, whilst the have had a points deduction, they are absolutely terrible. If the team from the lowland/highland league this year can’t beat them, they don’t deserve to come up.

@Cameron9248 @bets_single The whole reason for relegation from the spfl was because clubs like East Stirling were happy to finish bottom every year with no attempt to improve, It was supposed to improve standards. If you come into the league system then you should be better than the worst team.

The system to get into the SPFL really is a joke isn’t it? It’s probably been the most competitive, high quality Lowland and Highland League title race ever… yet no team is guaranteed promotion to L2 4 playoff games being the reward for winning the league is beyond ridiculous.

@The_Thirty_ I can’t disagree there needs to be an element of restructure but if the best team out of the lowland/highland league this year can’t beat this Edinburgh city team, they don’t deserve to come up.

It’s pretty clear what dougie is saying that the SPFL would be weakened if you are promoting a club which is weaker than the relegated club
