@ozymandiasJH Completely agree, plus, the young players will only get better with game time, just have to take a chance on them
English

@CameronRestall Matthews is good with the ball at his feet and I think he and Dia make a good pair.
One of the reasons behind injuries is that we don’t rotate and it would be great to have a solid backup pairing we could rotate in for midweek games and cups.

@WG_RumblePants I don't even think Bethel is a no3, he's being shoehorned in... Call me crazy, but I think the senior players should take more responsibility.

When you write it down, it doesn’t look bad as a top 7 🤔🤷
I’m not even convinced myself that this would be the way to go. It’s just something I’m mulling over.
And, yes, I know that Bethell’s not an established opener and I do remember the failed Dan Lawrence experiment 😬
I’d counter that, however, with the fact that Lawrence isn’t even a number 3 — he’s a number 5 or 6 — and that Bethell’s probably a better batter than Lawrence and has a (gulp) “higher ceiling” 🤦
What do you reckon? Have I gone mad?

@NoahPfc @pompeylive 4 million fee is wrong. Andy Moon confirmed it's more like 2.5m

Portsmouth have had two shots on target against #Boro this season and taken six points.
English

@PompeyPedro I don't think any team gets more than 7 points... If we beat Leicester, and find another win, I think we'll scrape it
English

@Velo_Scotland @SkyFootball Because they had 10 men since the 16th minute?
English

@SkyFootball 11 vs 11 and Pompey still needed Dozzell and Keshi Anderson to bail them out. If you’re “coming out on top quite comfortably”, why’s it only a crucial point.
English

@morganpfc14 Yeah agreed, and that's what causes the no10 to come short, even the wingers, no-one is making runs behind, everything is short, to feet, and needing to turn
English

@CameronRestall having pack drop into center back and asking center backs to be main progressive ball carriers while having nothing at all in midfield is compounding everything constantly over run in midfield. as a team i cant remember the last time a player passed and then ran forward
English

I'm no expert, but it's not hard to see why we can't score.
Our wingers stay very wide, and our no10 (Chaplin/Swift) drops into midfield, completely isolating the striker.
We either need wingers to get inside their fullbacks, or we need to stick with Segs in the 10 #Pompey
English

I'm no expert, but it's no surprise we can't score goals.
We ask both wingers to hug the touchline, and the no 10 (Swift and Chaplin) drop deep, completely isolating the striker.
We either need to ask our wingers to get inside their full backs, or play Segacic in the 10 #Pompey

@HancockAnalysis Don't understand the Gus slander personally. He's definitely got pace and ability, just think he needs a little time to settle
English

Correct decision to take Bishop out of the firing line, not sure if I fully agree with starting Gus but particularly Alli (who is completely running on fumes)
Like the Chaplin inclusion
Brown knockdown -> Chaplin shot
Portsmouth FC@Pompey
➡️ Poole, Chaplin. 🔵 Two changes to the #Pompey XI.
