Today, I spoke on the House Floor in support of my bill—H.Res. 364, the Gold Shield Families Resolution—legislation recognizing the families of fallen first responders and encouraging local communities to support nonprofits that stand by them in the aftermath of loss. This resolution was inspired by @campfreedompa in Carbondale, PA—founded by Bill Bachenberg and led by Matt Guedes—a remarkable organization providing outdoor healing experiences to disabled veterans, first responders, and their families, as well as to Gold Shield and Gold Star Families.
