Canada never granted Ukrainians actual refugee status, and only gave them special visas instead. As such, Ukrainians were not provided many of the supports available to regular refugees (e.g. access to public healthcare) and, for those who want to stay, their path to permanent residency is now complicated and onerous. In contrast, Indian "international students" are scamming Canada by fraudulently claiming asylum en masse, and are being given access to supports that people who fled war cannot access. If you are upset about the strike because your flight was cancelled and Air Canada will not refund you the total cost, that is another example of their greed and you should actually be siding with the flight attendants.

As I have said on here before @Travisdhanraj was one of my first "major" followers. Back when I had maybe a few hundred of them. I didn't always agree with everything he said or the angle of his stories. But he is a great journalist & it is entirely accurate to say that Conservatives felt like they got a fair shake with him. His resignation from CBC today is a loss for diversity of thought on the national media stage. If the CBC wants to ever regain its credibility as a true national broadcaster, then it needs more journalists like Travis.

For millions of Ukrainians, Easter is one of the most important holidays. And millions of Ukrainians will go to church. Sadly, many will go to churches that are damaged or destroyed. The Russian army is one of the biggest threats to Christian churches and believers. Over the years of full-scale war, 67 Ukrainian priests, pastors and monks have been killed or tortured by Russian occupiers. 640 religious sites have been destroyed, most of them Christian. But we will rebuild all of them. Just like we’re bringing back priests and pastors from Russian captivity, just like we’re doing everything to protect Ukrainian towns and villages and the lives of people there – we are also bringing back the chance to believe, to believe that evil and destruction will not win. Thank you to everyone who helps.

Why are toxic people promoted? It's really simple. It isn't because they are good at their jobs. The real reason? Organizations are too scared to fire them or deal with them. So they raise the ranks. I have seen it hundreds of times in employment law cases.
