@Sflecce Strike must end! All the parents are feeling against this CUPE strike! Kids are already below the level due to the pandemic lockdowns. Parents are tired with these unions strikes.

Our government fulfilled our end of the deal by putting forward significantly improved offers. CUPE has rejected all of these offers.
 Ever so casually, they have again put the province on a path to a strike. My reflections below on what is really driving the latest strike. 🧵

Let me be crystal clear: it is illegal and punishable to block and impede the movement of goods, people and services along critical infrastructure. Fines for non-compliance will be severe, with a maximum penalty of $100,000 and up to a year imprisonment.

@PeelSchools This is a suggestion to PDSB, during this difficult times, have tried any direct survey with parents and student, how is the teaching delivered. Kids are struggling. May be some of the educator not good in online delivery. Board has the responsibility to validate this.

@PeelSchools Anyone got a clear cut schedule about online learning. It is been very dark. PDSB communication does not imply any clean message to parents and students who enroll for online as of AUG 17. We have a feeling that, Sep 21st also in not sure state.

Never thought about and planned it accordingly? All student did not have full school year for 19/20. All the good time was wasted and nothing

@PeelSchools I understand that, coming weeks this number will go up as cases increases, so start date will be further pushed back.

@Can0774 As you can imagine, an increase of 10,000 students opting for distance learning is a large number and has impacted courses, staff, scheduling and more. We are doing our best to plan and share information.
