Day so far. Get up at 5.45. Taxi doesn't turn up. Replacement taxi doesn't turn up. Run for bus. Bus doesn't turn up. Replacement bus doesn't turn up. Miss train. Come home. Go to bed.

Pretty sure the Elon poll is just a shortcut to make a ban list. If I were in a volcano lair that’s what I would do…

KARTOFFl - the walking potato sim you've been looking for - has now launched on @MetaQuestVR. Having the demo on @SideQuestVR has been invaluable for early feedback and mojo, and now the full, 60-level Lemmings-like puzzle adventure is here: sidequestvr.com/app/5783/karto…

@TrentOster @baundiesel + 5) Cross platform is often easier. Negatives: 1)Costs 2)Feature support is the whim of the engine builders 3)Upgrades/support can be awful (mid dev upgrades) 4)If you are building vastly different from Epic titles you are going to write much of the code yourself anyway.

@baundiesel 1) you are leveraging R&D from many other studios. 2) Orders of magnitude less effort than standing up or endlessly updating proprietary engines. 3) Ease of hiring skilled art/design/dev people who can quickly be effective. 4) First party and middleware support is ready to go.

Question to my various game dev mutuals... why do you think so many studios are leaving their proprietary engines for Unreal Engine 5?🤔 Working on a video for next week and would like some expert takes. Respond to this tweet or DM me if you prefer. Thanks! RTs appreciated.💜
