“They’re not a good team. I don't care what their record is. They have a lot of wild pitches, they make a lot of mistakes in the field, and they don't run the bases well.”

Evgeni Malkin's one-year extension with #pens is worth $5.5 million

News: Dylan Cease is going to be placed on the 15-day IL (left hamstring) #BlueJays

The Penguins won the Atlantic Division Finals with one of the most impressive playoff performances in team history. An 8-1 victory with everything on the line has them moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals. RECAP📝 wbspenguins.com/pens-produce-s…

By the way, I don't know where the sentiment that the Blue Jays are some BABIP, devil magic team came from but I feel like that's just objectively not been the case the last year and a half? 🔹Literally speaking, they were .008 BABIP points apart in 2025. This year the Yankees and Jays are literally ranked back-back of each other, .266 and .268 respectively. 🔹Last year they finished the year ranking: xwOBA: 5th xSLG: 6th xOBP: 3rd xBA: 1st 🔹From June till the end of the year: xwOBA: 3rd xSLG: 5th xOBP: 3rd xBA: 1st They don't walk as much or hit as many home runs, but they still pull the ball hard in the air for hard hit XBHs and have done so for quite some time. And they did/do that while having the best contact rates in AND out of the zone. It's why they were such tough at bats. They could play that style of ball completely conducive for the playoffs (which they were obviously good at doing) or they could play guardsball. They're literally nothing like the Rays of this year haha. The Rays this year shouldn't be played without dousing everyone's jersey on the field in gallons of holy water

News: Jose Berríos underwent a full Tommy John surgery. #BlueJays

These games mean more. John Schneider needs to be at his best this series.

Cutter Gauthier said he broke his L1 and L2 vertebrae on March 30th, per @Derek_Lee27. He returned just two weeks later on April 12th and played the ENTIRE postseason.
