@aschnitt53 I don’t take this as a slight against the Hurricanes. I take this as an incompetent group of marketing executives at the NHL for not giving this an 7 or 7 30 pm start. Did the same for the panthers. They can do two more games at 8:30 and 9 30 even with a 7 30 start

There are times I roll my eyes at the "Canes get screwed by the league" discourse. This is not one of them. 5 p.m. on a Tuesday for banner night is gross.

You may not like 5:00 pm for a start -- I think it's fine, we're all going to be too jacked up to work anyway -- but it does not in any way shape or form devalue the championship.
The matchup alone will draw attention.

Stupid once again by the NHL. They did the banner raising last year for Florida at 5pm, and they're doing it again this year with Carolina. This devalues the championship in my opinion. You have to make your title and champion a big deal at all times. 5pm just buries it.

While i could be wrong, he is still constantly our driving force on and off the ice so we do need him for offense, slow or not. Put him on a speed line, like with frank and hes still good
