Team finished top of their division, with a goalie having the worst season of their career, a goalie with a stellar NHL debut, their top defenseman out half the season & multiple 20+ goal scorers.
Oh, & an 8-0 playoff start.

Simple truth that everyone in the East will come to realize… Carolina is miles ahead of the rest.
Sens played them hard but couldn’t even claw out a lead. Philly had a two goal lead but Carolina erased it and won.
The ‘Canes are in year 8 of competing. Everyone else is new.

The Hurricanes will surely need more from Svechnikov-Aho-Jarvis at some point this postseason, but it's worth noting all three weren't on the ice for a 5v5 goal against in the second round.

Winning 8 in a row in any league, in any sport, whether it’s regular season or playoffs is a feat.
Add in the fact that the NHL has more parity than any professional sport, and it’s the playoffs (yes the format sucks and they need to go back to 1v8) it’s even more impressive.

@CanesMetsJets75 @Mudcat2024 @CanesStats A friend of mine lived over off Cary Parkway in the early 2000s, it was awesome dude everyone in that neighborhood played roller hockey and they even had a hockey court they converted out of a tennis court, some good times spent down there.

The Canes had a booth in the Cary Mall that would sell game used sticks for $20 and game used jerseys for $50.
I took advantage of that :)
