🔴 Sir Keir Starmer would have cancelled Lord Mandelson’s appointment as US ambassador if he had been told about his failed vetting, a Cabinet minister has insisted. 🔗 telegraph.co.uk/politics/2026/…

I am appalled by recent attempted antisemitic arson attacks in North London.  This is abhorrent and it will not be tolerated. Attacks on our Jewish community are attacks on Britain.  We are increasing visible policing and those responsible will be found and brought to justice. We will not rest in the pursuit of perpetrators.

I am so sick of the “Keir Starmer is a man of integrity” routine. The guy literally began his premiership by helping himself to suits, glasses, & dresses from a party donor before moving on to appoint a man who he KNEW liked to hang out with paedophiles. Honourable he is not.

What an utterly pitiful effort at covering the Mandelson vetting story on @bbclaurak show today. Soft soap interview with Liz Kendall, the hapless Govt minister sent out today, and an irrelevant panel. Has anyone told the BBC that this is a story about a MASSIVE security risk to our country created by a Prime Minister who has lied and lied again about this scandal to save his skin? Just imagine if this story was about Kemi Badenoch or Nigel Farage as PM. Do you think they'd have given it the same coverage? 🙄

EXCL: Keir Starmer would have blocked Peter Mandelson from serving as the UK’s ambassador to Washington had he known he failed security vetting, David Lammy tells me. The deputy PM also says: - it was “inexplicable” that Oliver Robbins opted to leave Downing Street in dark over outcome. - he was “shocked and surprised” when he first learned on Thursday what had happened. - neither he nor his advisers at time he was foreign sec had known about – or asked for information on – vetting process or its conclusions

There was a stamp on Bruno Fernandes by Romeo Lavia last night btw 👀 Guarantee it would’ve been checked by VAR and a red card if it was a Manchester United player… #MUFC

In D.C. I have been working with partners to support safe passage for energy supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, to protect households and businesses from rising costs. It is good news that it has been reopened, now we must see a permanent ceasefire and stability returned.
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

It’s good news that the Strait of Hormuz has now reopened. This must be a long lasting and workable solution, without tolls or restrictions on routes. Today we announced our joint plan with France and other international partners to protect freedom of navigation. We need to see a return to peace and stability, and a permanent ceasefire.
