Abendshien was arrested this week and charged with numerous felonies after authorities found him in possession of child sexual abuse material of children aged 4 to 15. Smh just beyond horrifying. Homeless people are using dogs to test drugs for them on Skid Row in Los Angeles, California. Non-profit group Starts With One Today says dogs are being abused, thrown away, sold for drugs, neglected, and fed drugs to make sure there is no fentanyl. Animal advocates are ripping Mayor Karen Bass and other elected officials for not taking enough action. “We’re coming out here, risking our lives to help these dogs with no support from the government,” said volunteer Joey Tuccio.

HB 1429 has the support of the Democratic House Speaker Pat Welch. Government subsidized homeless activists and organizations are lobbying hard for the measure. It passed 11-4 out of committee. Also advancing is legislation, supported by Gov. Pritzker, to override local zoning powers to allow multifamily construction in single-family residential neighborhoods. Illinois state leaders seem hell bent on taking away local government authority over housing and on destroying residential neighborhoods as they side with far left housing advocates against the Illinois Municipal League and local law enforcement agencies.

My property taxes are nuts (>$60k) Why should two families using the same roads, schools, and services pay wildly different property taxes just because one house is worth more? Did one house get way better garbage pickup? Same services. Same city. It should be the same bill.
