@CanterburyAlex A stop would only be put on the account due to fraud or suspicion on the account. We can only suggest to contact the team to see what they can do and chat to a manager about the interest. ^JS

@VirginMoney Today I phoned up to pay my balance off and close my account. Your customer service said they wouldn't accept payment unless I post them a bunch of documents proving my identity. You are still charging me interest, but refusing to take payment. This is theft.

@AskVirginMoney I don't have the documents they want so I can't send them. You either need to let me pay the money or stop charging me interest.

@CanterburyAlex Hi Alex, we're sorry you've had some issues. If there's a block on the account our team cannot discuss it with you until we receive those ID docs. So they cannot disclose the balance, however they can take a payment to the account without getting into your account. ^JS

Also, once people start to realise that laws aren’t applied equally, the police lose their moral authority. Policing needs the consent of the public or we have anarchy. Now that people see what Met’s done, that consent is seriously undermined.

What scares me about the Met’s complicity in covering up partygate is if they are prepared to protect the government over relatively trivial crimes, what else are they prepared to cover for?
