@minakimes @ravens4dummies Except they agreed to the trade knowing full well what the situation was. They can negotiate with Trey at a lower number because they have 98. It’s a loophole in the system. They can go either way and every other team considering 98 is “out” while they have cake and eat it too.

Hendrickson was always going to be a free agent though…… that’s what doesn’t make sense in these “theories” Clearly they were always capable of signing Hendrickson at his number and outbidding. Seems more like desperation to sign Hendrickson in the wake of not liking the medicals that five teams doctors reviewed. Cowboys didn’t like them either.

the Ravens had buyer's remorse over trading 2 first-round picks (something they've never done before) for Maxx Crosby plus his $65M in cap hits the next 2 years... they saw Trey Hendrickson's asking price fall after he couldn't agree to a deal in the first 2 days of legal tampering... of course Crosby wasn't 100%, but they knew that already and realized they could pay less, give up zero draft capital and still get EDGE Trey Hendrickson...so they used the opportunity to get out using a failed physical a conspiracy theorist's dream
