CapMetro is resuming Bikeshare service in phases beginning August 11, with nearly one-third of the fleet available for riding by August 18. We will continue expanding service as we acquire the necessary parts and materials to restore Bikeshare operations to full service by end of 2026. Annual passholders will automatically receive additional time on the memberships to account for the service suspension. For those arriving via transit at the Norwood Transit Center, you can follow the safe and accessible path to the meeting using this map. CapMetro Transit Police will be providing traffic control at the intersection of Norwood Park Blvd and Brettonwoods Ln to assist with crossing safely. There will be a designated kid'sroom with activities, and the event will end promptly at 7:30 p.m. Enter the Goodwill Career & Technical Center on the east side of the building.

We recently joined the Goodnight Ranch community for a neighborhood scavenger hunt, with the final stop at the new Goodnight Ranch Park & Ride. Our team was there to answer questions, share information about the new Park & Ride and Rapid 800, and help residents learn more about their new transit options. And after the hunt? Bikeshare Update - CapMetro Bikeshare will return in phases beginning August 11, 2026, with nearly one-third of the fleet available for riding by August 18. -The service was suspended in late May 2026 after a fire at the agency’s operations facility damaged the system’s charging infrastructure. -This limited service will prioritize areas with the highest customer demand, including the University of Texas campus. -Customers are encouraged to check the CapMetro Bikeshare app to see real-time availability before heading to a station.

Tryggr Roofing & Construction -Roofing replacement at the Admin, Fleet Maintenance and Fuel & Washing Building at 2910 E. 5th St. -Ensure safe, reliable and uninterrupted operations. -Proactive replacement reduces the likelihood of unplanned failures, protects interior building systems and equipment, and extends the useful life of the facilities through installation of durable roofing systems with long-term warranty coverage.

FY2027 Budget Proposal -For FY27, Oct. 1, 2026 - Sept. 30, 2027. -A public hearing on the proposed budget will be Sept. 16.

RailComm LLC -Continue contract for Rail Dispatch Control System that integrates with existing CTC and PTC systems. -Executing a 3-year contract leverages an established pricing structure and avoids incremental costs associated.

Freight Operations with Watco Companies, LLC -Contract modification to reimburse Watco for infrastructure repairs made as a result of flooding in July 2025. -We anticipate reimbursement from FEMA for eligible costs associated with this emergency infrastructure repair.
