As part of our ongoing Public Safety & Security series, we’re sharing how safety concerns are reported, evaluated and responded to across the CapMetro system.  When a transit-related safety concern is reported to 911 dispatch, the information is sent to the Transit Police dispatcher who then evaluates the incident and shares the threat level to Patrol Operations. Patrol Ops then assigns officers for a swift response. When a safety concern is received by our Customer Service team through email or the GO Line, the information is forwarded to the Transit Police dispatch for review and response. CapMetro frontline staff report safety concerns to the Operations Control Center dispatcher who evaluates the appropriate response. If the incident requires law enforcement, the information is forwarded to the Transit Police dispatch for review and response. After responding to a call, Transit Police Officers complete official reports. The computer aided dispatch system tracks all calls for service and documents the who, what, when and where of each incident.
