@wolf98_lone I don’t keep them that long on a day to day basis! I just like going extra with it from time to time. You do get used to doing things with them though. I have short nails right now because it’s more convenient for my current situation and projects.

Final (Happy) Update: Oliver is home, pretty drugged up still. A good chunk of teeth on his right side are extracted but he'll live. Also both sides of his thighs have been shaved LOL my ugly baby 🤣 and he got blood work! Expensive ugly baby.. He also peed himself in the new carrier I bought and I have never been so thankful for leather seats in my car...I'm just glad he didn't shit too I woulda lost it 😭 I drove so fast to go home guys you don't even know! Tho I had to bathe him right after all that...guys I'm TIRED. Thank you to everyone who helped me out with the vet bill! I only had to pay a little bit (I have $10.56 to my name now lmao) but it was better than having to put it on a credit card 👍 so I'll take what I can get! See you guys tomorrow for stream and I love you all so much! I wouldn't have been able to do this without so many of y'alls help and love 🫂 and I'll forever be greatful.

It’s so interesting to me that backseating really does seem to be a gendered problem, and I’d genuinely love to hear from other people who can either confirm or challenge that impression. I’ve experienced the exact same issue Deja described in this video, but I’ve also watched male streamers who openly allow backseating, have primarily female audiences, and still barely receive any comments about their gameplay. It makes me wonder whether women are simply seen as more “correctable.” When a male streamer makes a mistake, people may assume he knows what he’s doing, is experimenting, or will figure it out himself. When a female streamer makes the same mistake, it can immediately be treated as proof that she needs help. I also don’t think backseating is always purely about helping. Sometimes it feels more like a way for the viewer to perform their own knowledge, feel useful, get the streamer’s attention, or establish a little bit of authority in the room. And perhaps some men feel more comfortable doing that to a woman than they would correcting another man. Is it that male viewers are more inclined to mansplain? Are male streamers automatically assumed to be competent enough not to need guidance? Are women still subconsciously assumed to be bad at games? Or do people simply feel more entitled to manage a woman’s gameplay than a man’s, even when she hasn’t asked them to? Let’s talk about it!
