LeBron James on the deciding factors for his next team:
“You definitely look at fanbases wherever you may go and how they treat their team. What’s the legacy that’s been left there. You look at those factors but it’s not the deciding factor. I want to compete at a high level, join a franchise that shares the same model as myself. That’s practicing championship habits everyday… Being with a franchise and group of guys that has the same model of ‘we have to put the work in right here in September, October, and then what happens down the road will happen”

English

@Major_Passons Absolutely not. His fans are the absolute worst and the narrative will be they can’t win without LeBron.

@GioGG__ @HardRockBet So left over scraps and overpay for kessler is better than Wiggins, Larson, Portis, THJ?
English

@HardRockBet They actually making good moves tbh. Better than Miami. Got Giannis but nobody to play with him other than bam

Will be fascinating to see if LeBron paralyzes use of exception money tonight among some teams. Would you wait on using any of that $$ if you think you have legit chance at LeBron? (Methinks yes; we'll see what teams do). .. Because Wiggins' opt in deadline was Monday, his salary cannot be negotiated down from $30 M to free up more space, by the way. But as Shams reported, finances aren't expected to drive this decision. Like most humans, LeBron seeking a place he'll be happy to close his career.

NEW from @Anthony_Chiang and me: Heat interested in a LeBron James reunion. Miami among several teams poised to pursue miamiherald.com/sports/nba/mia… Any frostiness after his initial departure has long since thawed. There's great respect between team and LeBron.

@Calvin_256 @UnderdogNBA Did someone on the heat peg you or something
English

@UnderdogNBA shams and underdog reporting the exact same mid fontecchio news twice in one minute is pure comedy. heat are so starved for relevance they're spamming his 1-year contract 😭
English

@HeatvsHaters @ShamsCharania Solid size and shooting for when we need him
English

Simone Fontecchio intends to sign a one-year deal to return to the Miami Heat

Bradley Beal and the Heat have mutual interest, per @BrettSiegelNBA.
Heat fans… do you want Beal? 🧐

English

@flasportsbuzz So heat are essentially accepting we wont contend this season but next season they will go all in
English

This gives Heat the ability to use the full non taxpayer midlevel and bi-annual next summer as well.
Anthony Chiang@Anthony_Chiang
While the Heat's intention is to keep Andrew Wiggins, he is still immediately eligible to be traded even after agreeing and eventually signing his two-year extension.
