He contrasts this warmly with a Western civilization he describes as degraded, self-hating, and dying. Then he explains I-S-I-S and al-Qaeda. Their violence, he says, comes from being degraded by colonial powers. They're angry because they've been humiliated. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺. Not ideology. Not Twelver eschatology. Not a death cult that believes martyrdom opens paradise. Colonial humiliation. Tulsi Gabbard — who actually served in the military, actually fought these people, and actually understands the ideology — just gave a speech explaining that Islamist terror is a 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 that seeks to impose a global caliphate and that it is fundamentally incompatible with Western civilization. She named it precisely and clearly. Tucker is over here telling dinner party audiences he's "not mad" about polygamy and that Saudi Arabia has figured something out that we haven't. This is the same man who was furious that Franklin Graham called him an antisemite without giving him a phone call first. This is also the man who praised a Holocaust revisionist as "the best and most honest popular historian in America," gave a warm platform to neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes, called American Jewish Zionists Israel's "informal employees," insinuated at Charlie Kirk's own memorial that Jews were behind his ass∗ssination, and was just named Antisemite of the Year by StopAntisemitism. All while claiming he's not an antisemite. Franklin Graham read the record. Tucker romanticizes Sharia-governed societies while dismantling his credibility as a defender of the West one interview at a time. 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗺.

This item is on the Rochester City Council agenda for Tuesday. It's a formal vote to add more local funds to a total $13.2 million state project to build 22 "affordable" homes in Upper Falls. That works out to just over $600,000 each.
