@randomyoko Japan doesn't vote for idiots, trained at "learing" centers, to represent them. Japan is a cohesive, ancient culture. America is a modernized, incoherent mess.

ENOUGH of the Roman deception! The Catholic Church is NOT the “first Church,” the “mother Church,” or the rock Christ built upon. That’s a man-made lie used to prop up a Pope no apostle ever knew. Look at the text they twist: “Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah… And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.’” (Matthew 16:16-18)“On this rock” does NOT mean Peter himself. Peter (Petros) = a small stone. The Rock (Petra) = the massive bedrock of Peter’s confession: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” The Church is built on faith in Jesus Christ, not on a man, not on “apostolic succession,” not on Rome. The true Church exploded at Pentecost when thousands confessed Christ as Lord (Acts 2). Jerusalem, not Rome, was the center. The apostles were a team under the Headship of Christ alone. No Pope in the New Testament. No “mother church” in the New Testament. Only one foundation: “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11). Wake up. Be convicted. Be inspired. Ditch the traditions that exalt a man over the Messiah. Stand on the unchanging Word and the unshakable Rock, Jesus Christ alone. The gates of hell will not prevail against the Church built on faith in Him.

@p3driver @MrCasey62 And pretending virtue applies to one side, because you might lean into the other, is Christ-like? Please. Willful ignorance in the information age doesn't require charity for repeat offenders. FWIW, thank you for your service. My Dad worked on P3s at NAS Jax into the 90's.

Evangelicals, it’s 100% your own fault that you keep coming across as unintelligent. The POPE commissioned St. Jerome to translate the Bible “from the Koine Greek” into the common language of the time, Latin (the “Vulgate”—from the root word, “vulgus”, meaning “common people”).

Nods indoors? I wouldn’t bring that. A LPVO? Should’ve went with a dot. And that laser? Useless. Also too many mags on the belt under stress that’ll create confusion on reloads. And body armor? Ridiculous. You’re not going to war, skip the plates and be lightweight. Amateurs here

Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.

St. Augustine was neither a fool nor a pagan: “Christ HELD HIMSELF in His hands when He gave His Body to His disciples saying: ‘This is My Body.’ No one partakes of this Flesh before he has ADORED it.” Only a fool or a pagan would think Augustine was referring to adoring bread.

@ThinkonitW @MrCasey62 The Church that gave it to you to begin with. The New Testament didn't assemble itself or fall from the sky, no matter the fever dreams of those 20 centuries removed from the Incarnation.

Evangelicals, incapable of understanding big words, invariably default to the anti-Catholic accusation “it’s WORD GAMES!” It’s both an admission that they’re uneducated and a pathetically lazy cop-out.

A good question, but you called me delusional earlier, so I questionyour sincerity, and am not going to go out of my way just to merely waste time for a bad actor. But, I will give one shot in the spirit of charity. I condensed commentary below due to character restriction. While I still hold that scripture is not the whole deposit of faith many implication lie therein. St Paul tells us: "..hold fast to traditions I handed you.." (1 Cor 11:2) "...hold fast to the traditions...either by an oral statement or by letter..." (2 Thes 2:15) "Shun those not acting according to tradition..." (2 Thes 3:6) He implies both taught traditions or written letter are equivalent, but that they must come from "us." Did Christ establish a Church, or did He establish a book? He established a Church according to (Matt 16:18), whether one believes Peter is the Rock, or not. He gave that Church authority to bind and loose (Matt 18:19 and 28:18), and then breathed on specific men to forgive or retain sins (John 20:22-23). To believe that this authority just evaporated into the ether, and not to subsequent generations, or to believe your or I magically have this authority, is untenable because there would be no compelling reason to even believe the Gospel if not for some sort of succession to carry on this deposit of faith. Saint Augustine attest: “I would not believe the Gospel if the authority of the Catholic Church did not move me to do so.” -- Augustine, Against the Letter of Mani (Fundamental Epistle), 5:6 circa 397AD Nowhere did Christ command anyone to write anything. The only thing He ever wrote Himself were the sins of an adulterer's persecutors in the sand (John 8). Christianity was a pure oral tradition for decades, until the apostles or their disciples would write letters. Scripture as we know it wouldn't exist until about the year 400. Four Catholic Councils of bishops would determine in the end what that canon would be. And even protestants accept it to this day...Council/Synod of Rome (382), under Pope Damasus I, Synod of Hippo (393), Councils of Carthage (397 and 419) This is an objective fact that is not seriously disputed. The early church was not bible based, because it simply couldn't be. It was tradition based, and according to the Church fathers (Ignatius, the Didache, Polycarp, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus--the fathers from the 1st two centuries who were disciples of the apostles), they affirm the Church was Catholic/Orthodox, with priests, bishops, eucharist, and confession. So your question is where is it today? Right in front of you where it has been for 20 centuries. Who does these things today? No other denomination even seriously consider themselves apostolic.

Proving a negative is a fallacy. I don't accept scripture as it's own authority. Proof is your burden, not mine. I already know it doesn't exist. It's "profitable," yes. But nowhere does it say "sole," "only," "sufficient," "alone." Nowhere does it grant itself it's own authority. Nowhere does it say "it must be in the bible," nor does it define its own canon (an inspired table of contents). It's a false premise. Your problem, not mine.

@ThinkonitW @MrCasey62 What's amazing is that so many claim God's written word is true, but then splinter yourselves into 40K sects, & millions of personal opinion churches, because of disagreement. If Scripture was sufficient, in and of itself, it would have said so. It doesn't. You do. Man-made.

@CaptainJack556 @MrCasey62 I read what is written in God’s Word . That is the Truth. It’s quite amazing that Catholics cannot read a sentence and comprehend it! Does this apply to all writing or just the Bible that proves your doctrine is false?
