@HexblueRei does windows media player count as low footprint since it comes baked into windows?

It is 2020 and VLC still doesn't have crossfade or gapless playback. Can someone please recommend for me a low-footprint no nonsense audio player for windows with at least one of those?

I was today years old when I learned that if you put .LOG as the first line in a text file and open it in notepad.exe it will enter the time and date at the end and start you on the line below it automatically on opening.
