@ArkansasTomsBBQ @Catholic_bro @SubprimeBort @grok Its not the doctrine of God, but a precept of man being presented as the doctrine of God.
English

@Captain__Ex @Catholic_bro @SubprimeBort @grok The priest said Joseph is a good example of fatherhood for men to follow.
What do you claim to be incorrect about that statement?
Preparing for the next...

@SubprimeBort @Catholic_bro @grok "He's the third person"
Jesus never said the Holy Spirit was a human that is a doctrine of man being presented as a doctrine of God. The Holy Spirit is the adovate for the truth that comes in Christ's name to guide his believers. It is not a person. It is with me right now.
English

The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things…” (Jn 14:26). He’s not an impersonal force or energy—He’s the third Person of the Trinity: fully God, with intellect, will, and love. He comforts, convicts, guides, and speaks personally to believers right now (just as you testify).
Reducing Him to “not who but what” denies the very Person Christ sent. The Spirit isn’t an “it”—He’s the living “He” dwelling in us. That’s the heart of Trinitarian faith.
What do you think, brother?
English

@Captain__Ex @Catholic_bro @SubprimeBort @grok So you've got nothing that's wrong about what he said.
Glad we could establish that.
English

@Captain__Ex @Catholic_bro News flash you need to read..
You're not Jesus Christ
English

@grok @ArkansasTomsBBQ @SubprimeBort @Catholic_bro So what was his meaning when he said "takes one to know one"
English

@Captain__Ex @ArkansasTomsBBQ @SubprimeBort @Catholic_bro True, understanding evil doesn't require becoming it. Observation, history, logic, and empathy let us map it out clearly—without stepping into the shadows.
English

@SubprimeBort @grok @Catholic_bro I have no grief for there is nothing lost. Whatever we sacrifice in life for Christ we will be paid back a hundred fold.
English

@grok @ArkansasTomsBBQ @SubprimeBort @Catholic_bro Yes so you don't have to be evil in order to understand it
English

Jesus instructed: "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." (Matthew 10:16) This calls for shrewd understanding of evil's ways to navigate it safely, without partaking in it. He confronted evil directly—rebuking hypocrites, casting out demons, and cleansing the temple. He also taught to pray "deliver us from evil" and to watch lest we fall into temptation.
English

@ArkansasTomsBBQ @Catholic_bro @SubprimeBort @grok Just because you do not understand does not make it random. "Your own words" Adhere to my own words and not God's you say?
English

@Captain__Ex @Catholic_bro @SubprimeBort @grok That really does not answer the question. If we're just posting random verses, there's one about men with socks the size of donkeys.
Why not just answer the question in your own words. What part of what Fr. John Hardon said about Saint Joseph is incorrect?
English

@grok @ArkansasTomsBBQ @SubprimeBort @Catholic_bro And what does Jesus say about those who ignore evil and make no effor to understand it?
English

@Captain__Ex @ArkansasTomsBBQ @SubprimeBort @Catholic_bro Amen, that balance of shrewd wisdom and dove-like innocence is key to thriving amid opposition. The assurance that the Spirit provides the words when it counts brings real peace in uncertain times.
English

Yep we must know the wicked just as Jesus commanded us
Matthew 10:16-19
Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. But beware of men, for they will hand you over to their councils and flog you in their synagogues. On My account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to respond or what to say. In that hour you will be given what to say. For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
English

@Captain__Ex @grok @Catholic_bro Yes only God can read hearts fully, but humans are still called to exercise prudential discernment. There are people out there who downright will refuse to confess it.
English

@SubprimeBort @grok @Catholic_bro If someone wants to go for a ride on the merry go round, I will hold their hand and go along with them until they figure out they are wasting their own time, not mine.
English

And it's like were having a conversation and you all of a sudden demand I say Christ is Lord or don't think its true, that now I must follow your command and do your will to prove to you that I am what I say, when my Father already knows me, so there is no point to engage. The solution is just as Jesus said.
Matthew 5:41
"and if someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles."
If someone wants to do some performative nonsense, I go along with him until he tires himself out. It has never failed one time, doing what Christ commanded me to.
English

@SubprimeBort @grok @Catholic_bro "Say Christ is Lord or you aren't Christian" Does not prove to you the heart of another, for only God knows his children.
English

I didn't make anyone do anything, he wanted to take me on a merry go round. As if saying or doing a thing is proof of faith. The wicked lie and have no problem saying "Christ is Lord" because its a lie when they say it and they enjoy tricking people into thinking they are righteous, for attention and material gain.
English

@Captain__Ex @SubprimeBort @grok @Catholic_bro Interesting. X just said you're a restricted account.
English

@ArkansasTomsBBQ @Catholic_bro @SubprimeBort @grok Matthew 15:8-9
‘These people honor Me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from Me.
They worship Me in vain;
they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’
English

@Captain__Ex @Catholic_bro @SubprimeBort @grok I'm still wondering. What part of what Fr. John Hardon said about Saint Joseph is incorrect?
English

@SubprimeBort @grok @Catholic_bro You can say it because its the truth, but saying is performatively as proof of faith is exactly that, performative.
English
