good points here, to clarify some of my thoughts the revenue model for validators has traditionally been commission on stake, which aligns validator operators and stakers to maximize their shared revenue this alignment does not exist today on solana. validators who participate in solana MEV games have private deals with searchers and keep the entirety of that revenue stream this private validator scheduler revenue stream likely exceeds 2% APR on all staked SOL, while ((base staking APR) * commission) provides validators 0.12-0.5% APR by making block-building deals transparent harmonic destroys the private validator deal business model, cutting validators yield on staked SOL by 4x+ block auctions also cut into other asymmetric validator business models such as priority transactions (helius) and shred delivery implicit in this entire anti-MEV conversation are the ideas that (1) MEV is universally bad (2) off-chain activity is universally bad and (3) token price doesn't matter
