@mckibbin101 @MattCas04807118 @MKpolice That security guard should be given some actual powers instead of standing there with his arms the same length!
English

@MattCas04807118 @MKpolice Let's hope he gets knocked down on the way hpme.
English

I’ve witnessed a crime @MKpolice.
I realised this doctor is obtaining alcohol to clean his instruments for future operations that he needs to perform but he forgot to pay! 🤬🤬
It sounds like the anaesthetist filming is trying to remind him.
English

@CrossJ85055 @2505Mac Tell me Jim. Was Patsy a "bead rattler" too as you clearly have a problem with "bead rattlers". You couldn't care less about the vile murder of that innocent man. You're nothing but a sectarian scumbag.

English

@davidadams10 @irish_news It has ruffled a few feathers and caused debate. But isn't that what being a mature adult is all about? Stating your opinion and debating in a civil fashion. Hopefully the Irish News asks you another piece again.
English

@PaulWil81875490 @CatharineHoey Extremely strange. A great example of the band hypocrisy is in Claudy. A village united in grief on both sides after the horrific IRA bomb which killed numerous innocents. The local loyalist band invite paramilitary linked bands to parade yearly in the village. Incredible.
English

@Captainrealityo @CatharineHoey Don’t you find it strange that Loyalist Sectarian songs are acceptable? That Loyalist bands can commemorate murders & this always flys under the radar. Loyalist paramilitaries committed the most heinous of crimes. Why are we not talking about this ?
English

Good to see the Liberal Democrat Peers support this in the Lords -also a number of cross benchers

A proposal by Arlene Foster to make it easier to prosecute the utterance of phrases such as “Up the Ra” has been backed by peers in the House of Lords following a wide-ranging and, at times, emotional debate belfastlive.co.uk/news/northern-…

@PaulWil81875490 @CatharineHoey If you had a shred of decency Kate or knew about Paul's late father you would respond.
English

@CatharineHoey Ah Kate, never forget or forgive loyalist bands that support Loyalist murder gangs or the tens of thousands that sing the Billy boys. You agree??
English

@mckibbin101 I'll quote my well used saying again. He was David Ervine without a dictionary.
English

@Captainrealityo Have they forgotten John Hume and his great work.
Instead Martin was an evil vile terrorist.
I know that he is hailed as a "man of peace."
This is a myth, him and his ilk never apologised or shown any true remorse.
Ballynahinch, Northern Ireland 🇬🇧 English

Incredible.... why has there never been one for John Hume? Why hasn't Derry never properly honoured John Hume before? And yes I'm familiar with McGuiness' political career and the work he did & equally aware of his terrorist past. @mckibbin101

@JayBasra2 Serious question. As a Unionist why are you so fearful of the Irish language?
English

@Choyaa13 @sbunting_ @Tracybelfast1 @dleighton91 @duponline Yes. One was down in Dublin last year at the St Patrick's Day parade and no one batted an eyelid.
English

@sbunting_ @Tracybelfast1 @dleighton91 @duponline It’s great to see, but Belfast does seem to be a little bit behind. Unionist bands (including flute bands) have been participating in other St. Patrick’s Day parades for many years. The Enniskillen parade this year included three Unionist bands and a local Highland dancing group.
English

Today’s St Patrick’s Day parade held particular significance for many within the unionist community, as for the first time a flute band, the Imperial Guards Flute Band, was included in the procession and had the honour of leading the parade.
As an integral member of @BelfastBands , they have worked constructively with the Chair and other members to help ensure that Unionist and Loyalist culture is recognised and represented within the wider cultural events of our city.
I also want to congratulate the Major Sinclair Memorial Pipe Band, who have taken part in the St Patrick’s Day parade for a number of years, proudly showcasing their musical talent and representing another significant and valued part of our heritage and culture.
St Patrick’s Day does not belong to one tradition or one community alone, just as Belfast itself belongs to us all. Unionism is not one dimensional, and our culture and heritage are rich, diverse and deeply rooted in music, tradition and community.
That is why it is so important that events supported by Belfast City Council are truly inclusive and open to all who wish to celebrate and contribute to the cultural life of our city.
I am immensely proud of the Belfast Bands Forum and the work they have done in a short period of time to highlight the positive aspects of our culture, which are often overlooked, and to showcase the incredible talent that exists within our bands scene.

@Choyaa13 @TaylorRMarshall There are just as many Church of Ireland churches named after St Patrick as there are Catholic chapels.
English

Protestants wear and post "orange" on St Patrick's Day to protest Saint Patrick and exalt Protestant King William of Orange.
In 1688, Protestant William of Orange's Glorious Revolution to depose CATHOLIC KING James II was heavily financed by Dutch Jewish bankers like Francisco Lopes Suasso, who loaned 2M guilders interest-free ('If victorious, repay; if not, my loss'). This aided William's success, boosted Jewish security & growth in England under his reign favoring the immigration of Jews to England.
