Today was a weird day. Hard to explain. Wife asked me if it was, “melancholy”. It wasn’t. But it was absolutely the most “reflection” I have ever done on a birthday. I thought about family and friends that are no longer with us, and how much I miss them. I thought about what’s to come, and how frighteningly exciting the prospect of all that is. More than anything, I thought about my kids and how lucky I am to be a father. Bottom line, I’m really trying to make a conscious effort to live in every minute and moment for the rest of this ride. Lap 63, Ross Chastain will finish the Duel 150 in 21st after getting ass packed by the 60. Little bit of a bump on the right rear panel when sliding into the 16. Saying it’s been a tough speedweek is an understatement, just no speed to compete. He’ll start 39th on Sunday.
