During the week of January 12-16, Fr. John Koelle from our Province and Br. Miguel Ramirez of the Stigmata Province participated in a DiSC training along with the postulants of the Milwaukee interprovincial postulancy program.

Br. Roy, the guardian at St. Lawrence Friary in Beacon, NY, asked some friars to help him with a drawing. Each were given some pieces to color, not knowing what they were making. When all were finished he pieced them all together. And the final product: St. Francis of Assisi.

Recently, we hosted a Come and See Weekend with four candidates who are discerning their vocation and learning more about the Capuchin charism. We kindly ask you to keep them in your prayers as they continue their discernment journey.

On November 2nd, our parish of St. Ann in Hoboken, N.J., celebrated its 125th jubilee and the 100th anniversary of its dedication. His Eminence, Cardinal Joseph Tobin, CSsR, DD, presided at the Mass.

From November 3 to 10, friars from various circumscriptions around the world are gathering in Rome to celebrate and share the gift of their vocation as lay brothers. During this time, they will share their experiences and express their hopes for the future.

Today the Holy Father released Dilexi Te (“I Have Loved You”), his first Apostolic Exhortation on love for the poor. In this new document, Pope Leo XIV reminds us that faith and love for the poor cannot be separated. He invites the Church to make a preferential option for the poor, not as an act of charity alone but as an essential part of our encounter with Christ. May Dilexi Te inspire us to see Christ in those who suffer and to walk with them in solidarity and hope.

Espejo de Cristo OFS and St Padre Pio Friary celebrated the Transitus, or passing, of St. Francis with a memorial service that often includes a reenacting of his final hours, storytelling, and singing, keeping alive the spirituality that Francis and his early companions left us.
