My mom purchased a vehicle from @CarMax on June 20 and has experienced multiple issues shortly afterward. We’ve tried working with the store, but the concerns remain unresolved. A BBB complaint has been filed, and we’re hoping CarMax will help reach a fair resolution.

@CarMax Horrible first experience with CarMax. We paid to ship a vehicle (credit card billed $1999 and transport confirmed via email) after speaking with an agent. 2hours later, a "glitch" in the system allowed someone else to transport the car to themselves even after we paid!

@CarMax terrible customer service! Everything is great when buying across state lines but when your salesman tells you falsehoods about the next steps and you get the car home and then try to deal with CarMax to get your inspection and tags there’s absolutely no communication.

Weekend, because of a death in the family and services this coming week. My husband is also only home on the weekends so a day wasted is a big deal for us. I will absolutely never recommend @CarMax to ANYONE- I’ve never had such a bad experience with a car dealership!!

Just had the absolute worst experience trying to buy a car from @CarMax :
We call to confirm that the car we want is at the location and we’re told that the car would be reserved for us because it was a 2 1/2 hr drive from us.

@CarMax trying to buy a car from you is an exercise in futility. i found the car, did the trade-in work, and can't get anyone competent to speak with me. i've been on the phone, transferred, handed off to multiple people. What a lousy experience.

@CarMax For anyone considering using CarMax as a alternative to the bigger car dealerships? Just don't.
I was basically told; what did I expect? It's a used vehicle. That's over 10 years old. Of course there's going to be mechanical concerns and issues. In the 1st 2 weeks? 🤦🏼♀️

If you ever plan on purchasing a vehicle from @CarMax specifically in Gaithersburg, Md....Save yourself the trouble and DON'T! Everyone is cool up until you place a phonecall. Try their competitors instead. I bet atleast they'll talk to you, especially since I always pay upfront

@CarMax What's the point of telling customers that a car can be transferred to a location if you can't actually make it happen? I've wasted time waiting on a transfer gor a week now. With zero communication about what's happening. Pathetic.

My daughter Bought a BMW X3 from @CarMax for college graduation. 24 hours later, the check engine light is on. CarMax took her $7500 down payment but has completely ghosted our calls for days. We had to drive 30 miles to the store just to get answers. Absolute nightmare.
