The @thecrimson president job description is 1,100+ words long. All year, I've thought about how detailed it is — and how I still did not know what it meant until the job was mine. So, my last piece for 14P: What It Means to Lead The Harvard Crimson thecrimson.com/article/2023/1…

NEWS: The cuts were so severe that at least one department head asked to leave The Post rather than be included in the planning. Peter Finn, The Post's international editor, requested that he be laid off once he learned about the scope of the cuts to his section. nytimes.com/2026/02/04/bus…

Public education is the lifeblood and ultimate safeguard of American democracy. The Supreme Court’s decision allowing the Trump Administration to move forward with its attacks on the Department of Education was dead wrong. But it is far from the end of this fight. I’m using every tool we’ve got to protect and support our students and public schools, including working to secure the release of nearly $27 million in federal funding that was promised to New Hampshire and is being lawlessly withheld by the Trump Administration.

This morning, after 30 hours of debate and overnight votes, Republicans passed one of the worst bills in American history in the House by a single vote (215-214). I was a hard no on the biggest cuts to Medicaid in American history. Here’s why this fight continues ⬇️

In the cover of night, the Trump Admin gave Elon Musk – someone who the American people did not elect into any position of power – unprecedented access to the Treasury Department and the confidential personal information of millions of Americans. (1/3) thepulseofnh.com/treasury-dept-…

I am commuting the sentences of 37 individuals on federal death row to life sentences without the possibility of parole. This action is consistent with my Administration's moratorium on federal executions, except for cases involving terrorism and hate-motivated mass murder.

So far, this debate has been characterized by Kamala Harris dropping a lot of bait and Trump eagerly picking it up and rhetorically wandering around the room.
