For the first time since 1994, the Pope is personally carrying the Cross for all 14 Stations of the Cross, as Pope Leo XIV leads the Via Crucis at Rome’s Colosseum in the first Good Friday of his Pontificate.

This Holy Week, in an interview with Ben Shapiro, Bishop Robert Barron told Shapiro that Pope Leo XIV's anti-war comments do not refer to the Iran War. I can remember as a child during the hours from Noon to 3 PM on Good Friday, there would be an aura of silence, reverence, and penance. Even if we are not able to get to the sacred liturgy at that time, we still try to keep some awe during the “Tre Ore,” those three hours. @thegnewsroom
