@Badparkingworcs @CMPG i think what there trying to say is that the entry slip road coming up from j9 is very long and you get a lot of drivers actually pulling into it thinking it's the exit for j8,M5 but you have around 200yrds of hard shoulder before the exit starts for j8 👍

@CMPG M6 J9 and M5 J8 are a long way from each other!

We spent the last 5 minutes static monitoring traffic M6 Junction 9 to Junction 8 (M5) and we caught 31 vehicle driving along the hard shoulder. To those drivers expect a summons in the post. Please do not drive on the hard shoulder. Obey the gantry signs. 5419

@CMPG Was driving along the m6 yesterday with the hard shoulder opened & nearly witnessed a huge crash as a lorry had broken down. Hard shoulder remained open & the second artic travelling had to slam on & swerve out the way.

@CMPG you want to try telling the brain dead if the gantries have no speed limit lit up over the lane. the hard shoulder is not a live lane also. not just a red X. the speed they've come up the nearside lane entry slip off the M5 then carried on along the hard shoulder is unreal
