@Cardano_CF I predict that having it in the same place will see a big dip in attendance. Dubai is great but the novelty wears off quickly. You have to be honest with yourselves that people make a trip out of it in order to justify the cost. They won’t go to the same place 2 yrs in a row.

@CardanoCountess Agreed. provided that they are building and helping the community, I'm fine with MPOs.

I support these changes because: 1. 3 months were not enough to help small pools gain traction. 12 months will help 5-10 pools at a time get large enough to be competitive. 2. This coincides with the new 170 ADA minFee, which will further help the selected pools. 3. It's not because they support MPOs that they will delegate to operators with 5+ pools but there are many solid community members with 2 pools, for example, who are building in the community, and could use the delegation. 4. It will increase CF's rewards and they too need money to continue to support the Cardano Community. They too have bills, etc. In short, it's better to help 5-10 pools at a time every year, make sure that these 5-10 pools get properly bootstrapped and are competitive enough to attract delegation, than it is to help 30 pools for 3 months and none of them becoming self sufficient. I also support everyone who thinks the opposite and believe that this is not the correct direction. This is what communities are made of -- different opinions.

@CardanoYYC @conraddit Aw, I don’t think large pools want to “kill the little guy.” I’ve never heard that kind of rhetoric. I think even if people look out for their own businesses and longevity they still recognize that the stability of Cardano requires many players. Different opinions, but same team.

@conraddit I see it as fixed fee. Large pools don't need a fixed fee...because their variable margin is highly profitable. If a min fee is forced on all users then the little guy has a better chance of survival. Large pools want zero fixed fee..... because it kills the little guy.

@conraddit I hate the idea of “multipools” as much as the next person but I also don’t really categorize a legit, upstanding 2-pool SPO as part of that group. It’s not like anybody’s really making money right now, but they still have to pay for their infrastructure to keep things running.

Question for the #Cardano community. How can one verify someone is genuinely a single stakepool operator? How can we verify someone else isn't running their stakepool for them? $ADA I want to get a solid list of single stakepool operators and have the community vote for 50.
