Recalling mechanisms of Type 2 MI:
Sepsis —> Systemic vasodilation —> inadequate coronary blood flow —> Type 2 MI (supply/demand mismatch)
Tachycardia (due to acute illness) —> decreased duration of diastole —> decreased coronary blood flow —> Type 2 MI (supply/demand mismatch)
