For a team that is in the midst of a rebuild, can someone explain to me why #StlCards Pedro Pages is on the roster over Jimmy Crooks?
Crooks is the number 8 prospect in Cardinals system and is 24 years old with lots of minor league success.

A factor here for Erick Fedde: Trade deadline. Cardinals won’t say it for obvious reasons, but part of the calculus is giving Fedde a chance to see where he fits for them or in trade talks with other teams.

Please let me add to the hollering: Why are the #STLCards so stubbornly stupid about keeping Ryan Fernandez on the big club? I know young pitchers can go sideways and need to regroup. But that's why you have the MINORS. Let him fix it there. There is a deeper problem here.

@CardinalMetrics He pitched 13 times in 24 games before today. That's insane and it's not a coincidence that he looked like crap his last time out.
You just cannot run 2-3 guys into the ground. If he breaks because you ride him too hard in April what's the rest of the season look like?

Fernandez absolutely, 100%, has to go to Memphis for the team's good and for his own good.
He's lost and you just cannot hide him.
Riley O'Brien cannot be worse than Fernandez has been.
I like Fernandez, he just needs to work this out.

The problem in this case is they refuse to send Fernandez down and they refuse to see if they can trust Svanson.
You can't run a bullpen trying to hide two guys.
