Today I have written to the CEOs of major supermarkets asking them to give social care workers the same access to their shops as NHS workers, because both are at the front line of our Coronavirus battle. As well as our weekly #ClapForCarers let’s help our carers however we can.

Due to COVID-19, Care Innovation Hub has made the difficult decision to pause all operations for the foreseeable future, likely to last at least six months. In order to protect the funds we have available, Navin will be stepping down as CEO and we will pause all expenditure.

A huge thank you to everyone who is working above and beyond to look after the most vulnerable in our community. We are currently taking appropriate measures during the outbreak at CIH and will update asap. In good news, @apetitouk joins us as Sprint Partners. Thanks Lisa & team!

Meet Chris and Sue, National Account Managers at @apetitouk. They will provide all our participants at the Social Care Challenge with an exquisite dining experience to give them a flavour (literally) of how residents in care homes should be entitled to quality food and care.

Meet mentor Mei-Ling, Partner at @RoydsWithyKing. She is a social care lawyer who deals with the trouble-shooting and crisis management side of care, which includes regulation by CQC. She has an interest in innovation and tech in the sector and makes regular press appearances!
