Paris Saint-Germain have advanced past the Round of 16 of the Champions League in every season since 2020 except for two. The only times they haven't were the years Lionel Messi played for the club.

First there were the three PSG goals in the final 14 minutes of the first leg. Then Pedro Neto pushed a ball boy. Then there was that huddle, a loss to Newcastle United and the need to "respect the ball". There followed a suspended transfer ban and a fine for breaching transfer rules. Captain Reece James was then ruled out for several weeks with a hamstring injury. His replacement, Malo Gusto, was too ill to face PSG. Then the team selection leaked in the French media. Fans booed the players, the substitutions and walked out with half an hour left of the second leg, a result which confirmed the joint-heaviest defeat in the club's history. Oh and then James' replacement as captain, Enzo Fernandez, dropped a large hint that he is considering his future. Welcome to Chelsea, Liam Rosenior. 📝 @SJohnsonSport 🔗 bit.ly/4snc2Va

A message to one of my dedicated followers @ebehdad - Mr. Behdad Eghbali. You smug, self-deluded, ego-maniacal parasite. Sit down and read this, because the entire Chelsea faithful has had enough of your narcissistic reign of terror. You, more than anyone else in this clown show of an ownership group, have singlehandedly driven this once-mighty club into the gutter with your bloated sense of superiority. You mistake the echo in your skull for applause from a gallery of posterity. And let’s start right where the mask finally slipped: the firing of Enzo Maresca. The man who, just six months earlier, had us lifting the Club World Cup and the Conference League. Demolishing the same PSG that just PEGGED us over two legs. The guy who actually had us playing some semblance of coherent football after years of your chaotic experiments. But no, your fragile little ego couldn’t handle it, could it? You couldn’t stand the thought that a real football man like Maresca might succeed without kissing your ring every five minutes. So you micromanaged him into oblivion, clashed over every tactical decision, every squad selection, every transfer nuance, until the relationship exploded and he walked away mid-season – or you shoved him out the door, depending on which lie your PR lackies are spinning today. You’ve ruined Chelsea, Behdad. Singlehandedly. Don’t hide behind Todd Boehly or the rest of the Clearlake circus. This is on YOU. You’ve turned us into a laughing stock – mid-table drifters at best, where qualifying for the UCL is somehow an accomplishment! Remember when we were contenders? When the Premier League feared us? Now we’re the punchline. You’ve destroyed the culture, the identity, the soul of this club. Legends like Terry, Lampard, Cech, Hazard, and Drogba built something special and your brilliant mind has somehow dismantled it brick by ego-driven brick. Here’s the truth you need to hear, loud and clear: it’s time to sell the club. WALK AWAY. Take your ego, your data, your Clearlake millions, and get the hell out of Chelsea. This is our club. A historic institution with 120 years of pride that you’ve reduced to rubble in record time. Sell to someone who actually loves football, who understands that managers need autonomy, that squads need stability, and that fans deserve better than this endless circus. The damage is already catastrophic, but it’s not irreversible. Hand over the keys to real football people who will rebuild what your arrogance demolished. The throne you’ve built for your own genius is constructed entirely of mirrors, which explains both the grandeur and the vacancy. Because if you stay, Behdad, you’ll finish what you started: the total annihilation of Chelsea FC. Your ego has already cost us Enzo Maresca, cost us momentum, and cost us our dignity. Don’t cost us our future too. Sell up. Disappear. And let the real Blues rise again without your toxic shadow hanging over everything. We don’t want your “vision” anymore. We want our club back. You’ve had your chance. You’ve failed. Now go.

This just isn’t true. Of all midfielders to have attempted 500+ passes while under pressure in the Premier League this season, Moisés Caicedo has the highest completion rate (90.6% - 910/1005). BUT, BUT .. He's just got a bad ‘temperament' 🙄
Raj Chohan@rajsinghchohan

Barcola finish aside… the goal gives you a lot of information on the reality of Caicedo’s temperament on the ball and the way in which he tries to defend. Consistent themes in his game.

I actually feel sorry for Liam Rosenior. He’s not a manager I dislike, but he’s not Chelsea material. However, he literally wasn’t able to say no. His bosses told him he was taking the Chelsea job, and that was that. The ownership and Sporting Directors are to blame.

I have watched Enzo win 80% of his duels in matches where we defended as a unit and kept the spaces between players small I have also watched him lose 80% of his duels in matches where all the midfielders are covering an entire corn field by themselves It’s about structure
Abz@Abz_UTC

Him being a liability defensively is so overstated. I think the biggest problem we have with Enzo is that our defence is so trash it make him stick out like a sore thumb.

Wesley Fofana’s demotion to the Chelsea bench was at the centre of the second team news leak and pictures that appear to show him smirking on the sidelines do not present an image of a player too disappointed to be left out of one of the biggest games of the season, or too angry at watching his team get thrashed. Nothing sums up the state of football right now more than commentators asking if Declan Rice is the best midfielder in the world. He’s basically a cross country runner who can take a decent corner ffs
