Welcome to the jungle. 🐅 Did you know that our team at Glasgow Central calls the area outside the station The Jungle? It's named after the maze of tracks that bring you in and out. #Glasgow #GlasgowCentral #FactFriday

@tmoffat68 @ScotRail According to ScotRail in order to see that we are actually better off what we have to do is compare the price we have been paying this year with the price from over a year ago before the 20% then magically you are better off…

@ScotRail I'm a regular commuter and my season ticket discount has been reduced from 20% to 5%. If I pay as you go, I'm still worse off. So all you have done is penalise the regular commuters who have consistently payed their way. Disgraceful

@ScotRail That’s a ridiculous way to spin it! “Oh remember the discount well, we’re taking it away but your new increased price is still cheaper than a year ago so that’s good of us” People will be paying more and most of those people will be peak time travellers

You need to compare the new price with the price you were paying before the 20% off promotion. Here's an example from North Berwick to Edinburgh which helps explain this clearer. ·       £54.80 this was the cost of a weekly season when the trial was in operation in 2024 ·       £45.50 this is the current cost of a weekly season with the temporary additional 20 per cent discount. It was £43.80 originally but went up on 1 April 2025 to £45.50 as part of the rise in fares 3.8%. ·       £43.20 this is what the weekly season will cost if bought from 28 Sept 2025 onwards which is cheaper than the £54.80 fare in 2024. Hope that helps.

@Carey0807 Hi Debbie, when the original Off-Peak All-Day trial ended in Sept 2024, we added an extra 20% discount off season tickets until 28 September 2025. This additional discount ends soon but you’ll find your season ticket hasn’t increased by 20% due to the removal of peak fares. ^Paul

@ScotRail Bad weather happens but the organisation during this of updates and staff for passengers is shambolic. How at 1735 you don’t know a 1740 train will or won’t run & why don’t you know you have crew at 1804 for a train due to go at 1814 with pax allowed on

⚠️Storm Floris disruption to continue into Tuesday⚠️ Storm Floris continues to bring very strong and disruptive winds across Scotland, with an amber Met Office warning in place until 23:00 across Glasgow, Edinburgh, and all areas north of the Central Belt area. A further yellow warning is in place across all other areas of Scotland, until the end of today. The damage caused by the storm has been extensive, including trees falling onto overhead wires and tracks. Network Rail will soon begin work to recover the railway, as a number of routes will need to be inspected once the storm has passed and then repair work carried out. While some checks will be carried out later tonight, further inspections will be needed during daylight hours, which will cause disruption to services on some routes on Tuesday morning. Customers planning to travel on Tuesday should check their journey before travelling using the ScotRail app, website and our journeycheck.com/scotrail page. ScotRail tickets dated Monday, 4 August, will be valid for travel on our services tomorrow, Tuesday, 5 August. If you’ve been unable to use your ticket due to #StormFloris, you can request a full refund using our refund request form. scotrail.co.uk/form/refund-re… ℹ️ scotrail.co.uk/about-scotrail…

@ScotRail Actually saw the app change it to cancelled so got off and asked the guy on the platform and he says “naw just waiting on crew, don’t go by the app” Literally stepped back on to announcement that it was cancelled and he just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. Farce.

@ScotRail And app says cancelled but your staff on platform don’t know that and are telling people not to go by the app
