Seven years after the Windrush scandal came to light it seems some people from Commonwealth countries who were invited by the government to live and work here in the post war period are still having their British nationality challenged. A Home Office spokesperson said: “While we do not comment on individual passport applications, a passport is only issued once all checks are satisfactorily completed.” We also contacted the Windrush Commissioner. They did not respond.
