Carlow Historical

As part of Heritage week, Paul Curran of Carlow CHAS will speak about the staff of the Sugar factory, Erin Foods and Armer Salmon. The talk is on Wednesday 20 August at 8pm in the Seven Oaks Hotel Ballroom. All are welcome and admission is free.

The May CHAS lecture will be on the history of Tullow by local historian Christopher McQuinn at St. Columba's Church, Church Street, Tullow on 21st May at 8pm.  Chris will be talking about all aspects of the history of Tullow. Admission is free and all are welcome.

The next CHAS lecture is by Dr Elizabeth Dawson from Carlow College on St Brigit. The talk is scheduled for 16 April 2025 at 8 pm in the Seven Oaks Hotel. All are welcome, and admission is free.

Carlow Historical and Archaeological Society (CHAS) will hold its next lecture in the Seven Oaks Hotel on Wednesday 19 March at 8 pm. ‘Landlords and tenants in Co. Carlow, 1879-1960’ by Dr Oliver Whelan

Carloviana 2025 will be formally launched on Thursday 5 December at 8pm in the Seven Oaks Hotel. Dr Ida Milne of Carlow College St. Patricks will launch the journal. Copies of Carloviana 2025 will be available for purchase on the night. We hope to see everyone there.
