Earlier today , I participated in the launch of Malaria Indictor Survey by @StatisticsUg . Data is a critical component in shaping policy and strategy for malaria elimination. The report shows decline in previous gains achieved from Malaria prevalence of 9% in 2019 to now 13%. We must all raise to the occasion and fight malaria together.

As we closed 2025, @WHO's #WorldMalariaReport showed that even amid a “perfect storm,” progress is possible. Since 2000, 2.3B malaria cases & 14M deaths have been averted with 1M lives saved in 2024 alone. As we begin 2026, @ALMA_2030 will double down on tackling malaria’s evolving challenges, working with AU Member States, RECs, youth, and global partners to keep malaria high on the development agenda and drive innovation.
