Why do we have to compare to BLM? Anyone who committed violence there should be held accountable if caught. The same goes for this. There were people at both BLM protests and this January 6th protest that were peaceful. Those people who didn't go into the Capitol or who didn't push for the certification be stopped should not be punished.

@kareemjeanjr This was an attempt to stop the Democratic process of certifying the President of the United States. These people were attempting to stop that process from taking place. I think it's severe in every sense of the term.

Anyone who still thinks that January 6th was just a “peaceful protest” is either being intentionally disingenuous, or they hadn’t seen the terrifying footage as of yet. Be honest with yourselves! January 6th was NOT OK! It was horrifying, unAmerican and seditious in many ways.
