This morning, I met with Speaker Matt Ritter as I handed in my letter of resignation as a state representative. I’m grateful to Speaker Ritter, Speaker Aresimowicz, Majority Leader Rojas and the incredible colleagues I had the privilege of working with over the past seven years.

One of Stamford’s biggest strengths is our rich, culturally diverse population and I was honored to celebrate Albanian Independence Day with members of our Albanian-American community. Thank you for all that you do for our community!

This afternoon, I joined @GovNedLamont, @WillHaskellCT, @Matt_Blumenthal, Mayor Martin, and leaders from @StamfordHosp & the Department of Public Health to highlight the vaccination clinic at the Stamford Train station.

Ths afternoon, I was honored to join Mayor Martin, Senator Pat Billie Miller, and @Matt_Blumenthal for @JFS_CT Thanksgiving distribution event. This was the biggest distribution of the past week for the agency, serving over 200 households!

Beautiful night with community leaders at Jackie Robinson Park for the annual holiday tree lighting! Amazing job by the @ProjectMusicCT student musicians who were fantastic and didn’t let the cold get in their way! 🎄

As Mayor-Elect, I look forward to working with partners like the Community Action Agency and Charter to help support these programs and investments and work toward creating a more inclusive and equitable city for all residents.

Charter Communications employees partnered with HomeFront to make critical repairs in the South End Community Center. Charter’s investments - including presenting CAAWC with a $50,000 check and 25 new laptops - will help to support their important community support services.

I was honored to join my colleague Senator Pat Billie Miller, Board of Representative members Terry Adams and Elise Coleman, and Mayor Martin as we recognized the Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut and the critical work they do in our community.

This morning, I joined students, faculty, and administrators at @BCDS_Stamford for their Veterans Day assembly. It was great to honor veterans and their families and celebrate the importance of service and civic engagement in our community.

Today, I am proud to announce our Transition Team Policy Committee Co-Chairs! We have formed ten dynamic transition policy committees with talented, devoted, and diverse community leaders who will create formal recommendations for my first 100 days and first term.

This afternoon, I had a great meeting with @StamfordPolice Chief Shaw, his team, and Senator Pat Billie Miller to discuss ways we can support and improve community policing and programs for youth in Stamford.

Beautiful day for the Stamford Veterans Day Parade! It was wonderful to meet with veterans and their families as we honored them for their service to our country. Thank you to Mayor Martin & all the local leaders and organizations who made this event possible.

I also stand ready to advocate alongside our Congressional delegation to make sure we also pass the second piece of the President’s agenda, “Build Back Better,” as we continue to grow our economy, support working families, and invest in climate infrastructure.

This legislation will mean major new investments in infrastructure projects in our state, including in Stamford. As Mayor of Stamford, I look forward to working with @jahimes, @SenBlumenthal, & @ChrisMurphyCT to make sure our city gets its fair share.
