A lot of the success of the PS5 was the goodwill from the PS4 generation. Going into PS6: - Wants to destroy Physical disc - GAAS push, insane investments like Concord - Closing down studios that could've made amazing games - Price increasing several times (not their control) - Failed PC ports (didn't sell at all) - No communication with fans - PS6 will cost around $999 or more - The Bungie acquisition was one of if not the worst buy out ever Overall, Sony might think they are invisible but the long term damage might come in a few years and not right away. They will be fine in the short to middle term but interesting how long term looks.

Personally I want my games to carry over and sure you can say the first PS3 was backwards compatible but it was $600 way back when and Xbox 360 was cheaper. Now every new system will be $999 plus. Hell the Series X is close to that number now

@mrpyo1 Goodwill doesn't matter, look at PS2. Trying something new and failing has always been part of Sony. They always have closed studios, especially when they could've but didn't. Isn't PC ports good thing? Price increase, like you said isn't in their control.
