@Ria1984 As a secondary maths teacher we are normally asked to give up time during most holidays for revision sessions for year 11 and mock marking. The six week holidays is the only time most of us get when we can switch off for a couple of weeks before planning etc for the new year.

What about … hear me out here; teachers/TAs were allowed a week off in term time, in exchange for working a week in holidays to provide ‘holiday clubs’ for working parents? #childcare #schoolholidays

@oldandrewuk Breaking equipment like rulers (today I had the ‘miss it’s just a ruler - I’ll give you the 20p) and calculators- just sat the repeatedly pushing buttons so it’s completely knackered but you don’t know until the next class come in. It’s just so frustrating

What type of bad behaviour annoys you most? (This is intended as a question for teachers about pupil behaviour. If you depart from that, at least make it good.)

What's your teacher phrase? The one you say all the time whilst teaching without realising. Mine is "ok" - and I am not OK about it!

This piece was electric. Powerful acting, brilliant set-pieces and heart-stopping action it’s no wonder this is a must-see at this years fringe. @ElysiumTc are back tomorrow - Make sure you see them!

I’m writing something about the experiences of women who go into teaching as a second career. If you’d be willing to share your experience with me, I’d be hugely grateful. @WomenEd Please RT for a larger sample.

@campbellclaret The scariest thing about this is that he regards the general public with such disdain and contempt that he thought his rules that stopped people from being with loved ones or anyone outside of their family home did not apply to him.

Not convinced that deciding for a committee what it’s going to decide, when virtually everyone in the country has decided he broke the laws he made and lied about it, is a very smart move. But then again he is not that smart just privileged which is why it is fitting that the 1/4

*Calling Y10 maths teachers* Are you using visual representations like the bar model in the maths classroom? Do you like to see these visual representations in action? How will students perform on GCSE exams if they contain more visual representations? Join us to find out!

@Happy_Hussar2 @JujuliaGrace Wow, the rough with the smooth? I’m not sure they’ve had much of a smooth time in the last decade or so. Interested to understand how you would describe ‘smooth times’ for those working for the NHS over the past 3 years?

@JujuliaGrace You’re a disgrace to the profession you claim to have served. If these striking NHS staff can’t commit 100% and serve the public who pay their wages then they aren’t fit for the job. They need to grow up and learn to take the rough with the smooth, the majority are paid well.

@ScottBolton2 @JujuliaGrace How else do you think they should demonstrate their point? Surely they are fully within their right to withdraw their labour if they feel they are not being paid fairly. No pan banging and clapping on a Thursday can subsidise increased living costs.
