@GhostOutDaShell @DivineOdiaka @christina_ivey Just so we set a floor here £250 on groceries a month isn't a lot. Also yes it's extremely excessive on buying clothes constantly. But also women are like 70% of all consumer spending and if women didn't waste money we will be in an economic crisis. Not even sexist.

@DivineOdiaka @christina_ivey Enjoying and greed are 2 different things. She can't afford the lifestyle she wants. She don't need to spend 3 bills a month on clothes and a few other things when she's complaining about the costs. If she's complaining then she can't afford to do it basically.

@_tokuninai Like a month ago Indians tried to claim that Europeans and Americans are eating cow shit and shitting in the streets, now that it did not work they're trying to lie about the Chinese?? What's wrong with them. One pinky finger of a Chinaman is worth 10000 Indians.

The only people who are comfortable defending it have to be themselves living in social housing. There is no way a single individual living outside of London earning an average wage of some £2500 post tax and spending half of it on rent and taxes would ever feel that major subsidies in Zone 1 and 2 in London are actually "cute" and "totally valid" because Somalians living there are just making it so "diverse" and "culturally rich".

Social Historian of Housing tells you to react to the existence of seven-bedroom council houses in central London, with effective subsidies of ~£60,000 annually disbursed to their occupants, with an "Aww, isn't that lovely?"
Municipal Dreams@MunicipalDreams

'X' has just discovered that there is some social rent housing in the 'nice', wealthier parts of central London. (I won't respond to or amplify those tweets.) Rather than celebrating London's social diversity, it seems to believe that poorer citizens should live in ghettos.

@jt0hny I have no idea what half of you morons are raving about. Both of them are absolutely average and in no way "lookers". Women claiming otherwise are unironically more porn brained then men.

@infraa_ Want to see this in another 5 years, wonder if it will be just a straight line up. No way the US isn't printing heaps of greenbacks soon, with all the mystery debt around. Then another nice print when social security is going to get cut in 2030ish. Love it when line go up.

@akenohq @Arbether @ChibiReviews The time has passed and there's just no interest in anything Indian anymore. The Japanese should make more anime about ancient Greece though, that always slaps.

Vinland Saga, Fate/Stay Night (Arthurian legend), Gankutsuou (Count of Monte Cristo), Heidi, Anne of Green Gables all made because Japanese studios chose to adapt Western stories. The Indian-origin CEO is suggesting the exact same thing with Indian epics. Japanese creators can still decide

Are you like actually stupid? No country in subcontinent can get oil below 130 dollars. Paper market and spot market are different. When you google "oil prices" it shows you the "expected" price in a couple of months. If you want oil right now - the refinery will not sell you it bellow anything that is 130-140 if you're lucky.

@TheIntelFrog @infraa_ You forgot the key issue of Israel stopping its attack on Lebanon, which Israel will graciously honour for about a couple of hours. Then more strikes to follow more peace deals.

This is at least the second time that an impending attack on Iran has been canceled at the last second because of an impending agreement on a framework to continue discussions for a potential memorandum of understanding that will lay the ground work for the basis for the parties to meet and continue discussions that could lead to a lasting peace.

Supermarket profit margins are razor thin, in range of 2-3%. This is not a new topic nor some novel information, and if they sold it without a profit the bread would cost you 98p. If anything this sandwich shop is lining their pockets by buying the cheapo stuff and marking it up the bread by, I assure you, more than 2-3%.

.@AldiUK We have been buying your bread every day for our business for years now, we have always had compliments how tasty & soft it is. Lately for the past 2 weeks we have found when using it that it is already half stale and the quality just isn’t there. Have you changed supplier? Have you changed the ingredients? Even the customers have noticed the decline in quality. I would appreciate if someone could get back to me regarding this. Thanks. Pictures below are 2 loafs that were bought this morning and are of the same declining quality.

Are you mentally unwell? Even ExxonMobil CEO has admitted that we are slowly running out of fuel reserves, and that will reflect on oil prices badly. Just because the paper market is trading in whatever clown world they live in, the spot market tells a different story. If anything PPI will balloon in the following months, passing it on to CPI by mid autumn.

may captured peak iran war oil prices, the war has since ended, oil fell below $87 in early june, june CPI should show energy disinflation rolling through core at 2.9% is the more interesting number, core strips out energy and food, that's still above target and not directly affected by the oil reversal, the sticky part of inflation lives in services (housing, healthcare, insurance) where the fed has less direct influence

BREAKING: May CPI inflation rises to 4.2%, the highest level since April 2023. Core CPI inflation also rises to 2.9%, the highest since September 2025. Inflation in the US is officially back above 4% and more than double the Fed's target. Odds of Fed rate hikes are rising.

After spending years looking at every aspect of our national life through a “racialised lens”, radical left activists now express surprise that others have started to do the same.
Ash Sarkar@AyoCaesar

Crime is now being viewed through an entirely racialised lens – but only when the perpetrators aren't white. When Chas Corrigan stabbed a Saudi student to death, or Paul Doyle mowed down Liverpool fans, white people didn't have to fear being a target of collective retaliation.
