Late Night Recruiting Thought… I’ve been blessed to work in the weight room and train young women and men for 6 years. I’ve only once had a young man run a 4.6, he ran that his Junior Spring. The next fall was his Senior season, he had 6 kick off or punt returns that’s year. NUMBERS DON’T LIE! Be honest with your times, lifts, height and weight. Seeing these numbers come out of @Nike @TheOpening makes me realize how elite these times are as these young men are some of the nations best!

Weightroom testing days are the ultimate athletic lie detector. Did you do all your reps? "Yeah, Coach." It's separates the "Dids" from the "Didn'ts" like nothing else in our society.

The weight room is the most influential room in a school. It’s not a place to hang out — it’s a classroom. A place where habits are built, standards are set, and character is developed.

@FiredCoaches So many times this becomes the kids "identity" and then when their playing days are over (and they end for everyone at some point) the poor kid doesn't know who they are, that their value is far greater than their athletic achievements, even if they make it to the highest level.

I treat Division III and NAIA the same as any other division. My goal is to see every player have an opportunity to compete at the next level while earning an education that costs little to nothing out of pocket. I want to accomplish more than simply telling kids that it is all about Division I or Division II. I have had several players attend NAIA programs for one to two years and then move on to compete at the Division I or Division II level. Others chose to stay because they loved the school and the program, and some went on to become NAIA All-Americans. It is not about where you start it is about where you finish. #Believe #TheStandard
