I was one of the fewer than 200 people who witnessed the entire altercation live on Chud’s livestream on Pump.fun. Chud started his stream while driving to the courthouse, making small talk. After arriving at the courthouse parking area, he left his truck and began walking down the sidewalk. Chud approached a Black man and woman. I can’t remember if they were just in his path or if they flagged him down. Chud asked them if they liked his suit. Joshua immediately shut it down with a smug look on his face and told him to walk away. Chud pushed back a bit, saying something like “This is a public street, I can do as I please,” and I think he even mentioned someday holding public office. Joshua sternly told him to go away again. Chud continued walking down the sidewalk toward the courthouse. I also remember the woman with Joshua walking away in the opposite direction. Chud was watching Joshua with his camera but had his back turned to him. Joshua got up, and Chud asked his chat if the guy was going to start chimping out. Joshua closed the distance and got right in Chud’s face, mentioning something about his PTSD and warning him not to say that “chimping out” shit. Chud asked him to back up two or three times, but Joshua began punching him. I recall two or three strikes before Chud dropped his phone and the camera feed broke, with the screen turning orange. You could then hear tussling followed by three or four gunshots. I honestly thought Chud was dead while watching live, so I was shocked to hear his voice afterward asking people to get the guy off him. I’m not asking anyone to believe me, but go ahead and bookmark this. Once Chud’s full stream footage is released, you’ll see I have this mostly right. I may be missing a few small details, but this is more or less how the altercation played out. I don’t recall Chud ever using the N-word or doing any of his normal stream schtick. In my opinion, it was justified use of force on Chud’s end, as Joshua appeared to be landing repeated blows to his face, and it’s possible he was going for Chud’s gun.
