The only AI rant you’ll see here. I work with AI and with artists who use AI every day at my RL job. I know exactly how AI affects the industry and I see its positive, and mostly negative, sides. Believe me when I say that AI is not worth your time. Not because it will go away (it won’t), or because it’s not useful (it can be, at times), but because AI adds ZERO value to your skills. If you’re a good artist, you’ll be fine with or without AI. If you’re a bad artist, you’ll be bad with or without AI.
 “AI is a tool.”
It’s not. It’s a parasite that literally feeds on your creativity and gives you nothing in return. NOTHING. 
A tool is meant to help you be better, work faster, and improve your skill. AI does none of that. AI does not improve the quality of your art - it covers it in a layer of slop: easily recognizable, generic, and soulless.
AI does not make you faster - assuming you want to CREATE art and not just generate another portion of slop. Art takes time, art needs investment. You don’t need to be fast, you need to be creative, smart, and true. AI can’t do any of that.
And, I cannot stress this enough, AI does not improve your skill in any way. The opposite, actually: it makes you worse - lazy, blunt, and generic.
 “I need to learn AI to stay relevant.”
No, you don’t. AI slop is everywhere, and in a few years everything will be covered in a thick layer of generic mediocrity that looks and feels exactly the same. The only way to stay relevant is to be yourself. Unique. And while there are plenty of people who will gladly eat AI slop, there are more people who appreciate YOU and YOUR art—people who want to see and support your vision, your touch, and your talent. AI will NEVER make you better at YOUR art, because fundamentally that’s not how it works. There is nothing to learn. AI is not a skill. At best, it’s a gotcha machine that eats your prompt and may or may not give you anything usable in return. It doesn’t matter if you use big models or your custom, ComfyUI - wrapped, supertuned models - you pray to your slop god to bless you with less sloppy slop, but in the end you get just more slop. Invest your time in fundamentals: color theory, lighting, composition, actual skills that will make your art better. I create art to celebrate the beauty of the human body, to explore the intricate labyrinth of lust, passion, and fetish in my mind and the minds of others, and, most importantly, to find joy in life. You will never see AI here.
