@vertex_arcade thanks man! I'm properly buzzing about it haha. Sincerely thanks for sharing your work 🙏🙏

BIG shoutout to @vertex_arcade and his post earlier about shoulder rigging. Made me realise my deforms still needed a lot of work.
This is now with all corrective shape keys turned OFF. TYSM @vertex_arcade and everyone that contributed. What social media should be about ✊#b3d

@narmavisas I used auto rig pro. They have a skirt feature that lets you set this up, though it can be done without ARP using bone dynamics addon. Check out this video from @pierrick_picaut youtube.com/watch?v=55bJB5…

@Danny_Mac3D How did you made the skirt behave like that?! It looks amazing! is a rig or black magic or what? haha
English

@Danny_Mac3D The skirt interaction is what we're all here for. I don't know how to make that not sound bad. 🤣🤣🤣
English

@Danny_Mac3D You’re crazy 🤪 lol
English

@vertex_arcade Good thinking! I was worried you might be trying to achieve something impossible by avoiding correctives, but this makes a lot of sense.
Thanks so much for this update, you've really taught me something about shoulder twisting 🙏🙏
English

@Danny_Mac3D Yeah, just the basic Rigify rig with Automatic Weights, then obviously lots of refining of the weights and learning how to pose correctly! I figured if I can get a nice result with just the basics, then any corrective keys will just refine the shape, not hide mistakes
English

WOW! So many incredibly talented people gave me tips and recommendations so here's my updated rig!
No extra bones/drivers. This is mainly just better posing (twisting shoulder/arm) and weight painting!
Thanks for all the help, but still open to any suggestions! #blender #b3d

Does anybody have any resources for Shoulder Rigging? This looks fine when raising the arms to T Pose level, but raising them overhead always deforms incorrectly. I'm not sure if it's the placement of the shoulder bones, the weight painting or the model! #blender #b3d
English

@Danny_Mac3D I recommend ZWrap, it not only works for head but for any body mesh as well.
English

@vertex_arcade @soyposmoderno I you see tip #1 in this video it explains the workflow but the opposite way round. This is using dual quarternian for the whole body and then removing where it isn't wanted (as opposed to adding it where it is wanted)

English

@vertex_arcade @soyposmoderno 1 thing I found helped is using dual quarternian skinning just for the shoulders
- add new rig modifier
- check preserve volume and multi-modifier
- assign a new vertex group to modifier and weight paint it on the shoulders
It will give better deforms but still need correctives

@bandinopla I'm familiar with how the pecs behave, and I'm happy with the deforms on my model. They might not be perfect, but they work. Thanks for the feedback anyway.
