@mattbencole Are you saying that Marx is important because so many “thinkers” engaged with his ideas? That his ideas impacted history? That his work represented the reigning zeitgeist? Or are you saying he had “good ideas” that should be studied?

This is reasonable because Marx is vastly more important than Hayek. You can't study any branch of the social sciences without engaging Marx in some capacity. Hayek is a secondary figure even in 20th century political/economic thought.
